An item I'm interested in is listed as an 'out of stock' item. What do I do?
You should place it on your wish list, and we will advise you as soon as the item is back in stock.
An item I'm interested in is not listed on your website at all. Can you still order it for me?
We want to make sure our customers are pleased, and so while we can't guarantee getting hold of non-stock items, we can do our best and try. If you need a specific item that is not listed as either a stock or out-of-stock item, please email us at mailorder@bm-soho.com with the details. Please note, if the item is listed on the website but is temporarily out of stock, there's no need to email us - just place it on your wish list, and we will advise you as soon is it is back in stock.
Can I purchase BM Soho Gift Vouchers online?
Only UK based customers can purchase gift vouchers online at present.
Can I redeem BM Soho Gift Voucher or pay with a BM Soho Gift Voucher online?
Gift vouchers or Gift cards cannot be used as a method of payment on the website at present.
How can I keep up to date with the latest new releases?
The new releases listings are updated several times each day to make sure all of our stock appears online as soon as we have it in the shop. It is recommended that you check the website a few times a day and that you sign up to the mailing list of your interest - be it house, drum & bass or underground - if you would like us to keep you up to date with our latest arrivals.
How will I know that my order has gone through fine?
Once your order has been successfully submitted, you will receive an order confirmation email. Please keep this email safe – the four-digit BM Soho Order Number is your reference number for any future queries.
Is there a minimum order requirement for using your service?
We have no minimum order policy - you can order as little as one item if you like.
Is there a limit to the number of items I can purchase in one order?
No, there's no such limit. However, due to Royal Mail weight limits, we might split a large order (8 items or more) into a few packages - please pay attention if you're collecting your order from a local post office.
Can I enter different billing and shipping addresses?
Yes, you can. You can also change your account details as you wish by logging in to My Account
Can I order by telephone, fax or mail?
Yes, you can. Orders placed this way can be paid for by cheques, money orders or credit cards and will only be dispatched once you have been charged. Please note that online prices are normally around 10% cheaper than shop prices, which you will have to pay when your order by phone, fax or mail. Contact us for more details.
What payment options are available?
The BM Soho credit card payment system is secured and managed by WorldPay. If you choose to pay this way, you can use Mastercard, Visa, JCB, or UK Maestro. Alternatively, you can choose to pay via PayPal.

I'm ordering from outside the EU, do I qualify for a VAT deduction?
As we are a UK shop, UK sales tax (VAT) at 20% is charged on all orders shipped within the European Union (EU). For countries outside the EU, we do not have to charge this tax and discount the cost of the records by 20% automatically before sending. Discount applies only to goods purchased (records, CDs, etc.), and not to postage or insurance (there is no VAT on postage). Tax-free orders must be delivered to an address outside the EU. Orders from non-EU residents to be delivered within the EU do not qualify.
Can I receive an invoice with my order?
Yes. The order confirmation email you receive upon completing the checkout process can be used as an itemized VAT invoice.
What countries do you ship to?
BM Soho can ship to virtually any address in the world.
When will my order be dispatched?
All orders received before 4.30pm on a business day are dispatched the same day. Orders received after this time or during weekends /public holidays are dispatched the next business day.
When will my Pre-Order items be dispatched?
Pre-Order items are dispatched on the day of release; please note that release dates are liable to change at any time at the distributor's discretion.
My order includes Pre-Order items and items which are currently in-stock. When will you dispatch it?
We will split your order: items which are currently in-stock will be dispatched immediately, and Pre-Order items will be dispatched as soon as they are released. If your order includes several Pre-Order items with different release dates, they will be sent separately, according to their release dates. We will however group Pre-Order items when they are released on the same day.
How long will my order take to arrive?
All orders are sent by Royal Mail First Class Service; UK delivery time is usually 1-2 business days and international delivery time is usually 3-7 business days, depending on the efficiency of your local postal service. Please note that these times are only estimated based on our previous experience. Depending on factors beyond our control (for example, local delivery problems or customs inspections/delays) this can take longer.
How are the shipping costs calculated?
We make every effort to keep our postage charges affordable yet ensuring you get the fastest and most secure delivery service. All parcels are sent with Royal Mail First Class delivery service (for UK orders) or Royal Mail Airmail delivery service (for International orders) - whilst you have the option to choose between an Insured and an Uninsured method. Please note: only Insured parcels are trackable on Royal Mail's website. Shipping rates for all items are weight-based and depend on your distance from the UK - please refer to www.royalmail.com for a list of their price/weight charges.
Can I pick up my order at the shop rather than having it shipped to me?
Yes, you may choose to pick up your order at the shop. This will save you the shipping charges - however, if you mistakenly choose this option and would like your records sent out to you, you will have to pay the additional shipping charge. To select this option tick the "Collect in Store" checkbox on the Postage page of the checkout process. Your order will be ready for pick up at our London shop within two of hours submission, starting 12 noon and ending normal shop closing hours. Please bring a print out of your confirmation email and the credit card you paid for your order with as proof of your identity. You may also be asked to present a photo ID.
How do I qualify for free postage?
This special offer applies to records and CD orders of 50 GBP or more sent within the UK only. To qualify for free postage, select records and/or CDs to the value of 50 GBP or more (excluding VAT), make sure your chosen delivery country is UK and proceed to checkout. The postage will automatically be deducted from your final payment. This offer does only applies to orders consisting of records and/or CDs and does not apply to merchandise items.
How can I get my free copy of Faith or RWD?
When ordering anything else on www.bm-soho.com, you are entitled to your ONE free copy of RWD or Faith. All you need to do is visit the Mags section and add one copy of RWD or Faith to your cart. You will not be charged for the magazine, however you will be paying for the added postage. Please note: each customer is eligible for one copy only. Your copy of RWD or Faith must be ordered in conjunction with other items.
What happens if my order gets lost in the post?
All parcels are fully insured via Royal Mail Recorded Delivery, so you can order with confidence. In the unlikely event that you have not received your order within 28 days of your order confirmation email (10 days for UK customers), you should contact us to report the missing order and we will refund or replace the order as required.
Please note: before a replacement package can be sent, we will require you to contact your local post office to check that the item is not awaiting collection. In the UK, details of your local delivery office can be obtained from Royal Mail Customer Services on 08457 740740.
BM Soho reserves the right to decline further orders to a particular customer or address if repeated loss or non-delivery occur.
What happens if my order is damaged in transit?
All records are carefully picked and packed. However, if you do receive a damaged item, your order is fully insured so that we can either issue a replacement or refund you. We will require you to return the damaged item(s), but you will be reimbursed for your return postage. Please do not return damaged items to us without contacting us first.
What happens if my order is returned to you?
If we have a package returned to us, we will repost it to you as soon as possible. Please note that if it was returned to us because of an incomplete address or it was not collected from a local depot, we will be required to charge you for postage costs.
What if I receive a faulty item?
We will require you to return the faulty item and replace it free of charge. Please do not return faulty items to us without contacting us first. Unfortunately, we cannot exchange items bought in error so please check your order carefully before processing it.
What if an item I ordered is in fact out of stock?
We do our very best to show whether items are in stock or not. Sometimes, however, popular items do go out of stock and there is a short time lapse before the website is updated. In the unlikely event that you are able to submit an order for an item that is out of stock, we will contact you by e-mail or telephone, and you will not be charged for the item and the relevant postage costs.
Can I cancel my order?
You have the right to cancel your order up to 7 working days after delivery as long as the items are in their original condition and any shrinkwrap is still sealed. To cancel your order, please print your Order Confirmation Email and write at the top 'Cancel Order'; send with your package to the address on our Contact page. We advise that you send the parcel by Recorded Delivery and ensure the items are strongly packaged. If they are damaged in transit due to being inadequately packaged, we will be unable to give a refund. After receiving the parcel we will refund you (excluding original shipping costs) within 30 days.
Is ordering from www.bm-soho.com secure?
The BM Soho website uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to provide encryption of personal information such as your name, address and credit card details. In this way, information passed between your computer and us cannot be read in the unlikely event of someone intercepting it.
